Privacy Policy
Effective July 26, 2026
Sevo is a marketplace for homemade food, launching in New York City. This page explains what information we collect through our website and waitlist, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the information you give us: your name, email address and/or phone number, your NYC neighborhood, your preferred language, and whether you are interested in ordering food, cooking, or both.
If you use your Food Circle, we also record referral activity — who joined through your link and which share buttons you used — so we can award launch rewards. If you nominate a chef, we store the details you submit about them.
To prevent fake signups, we store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address at signup. We never store your actual IP address.
How we use it
We use your information to manage the waitlist, count referrals and award Food Circle rewards, send you signup confirmations and launch updates, prevent fraud, and plan which NYC neighborhoods Sevo launches in first.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Your data is processed by the services that run this site: Supabase (database hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (web hosting). Each acts on our instructions to operate the waitlist and nothing more.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email team@thesevo.app from the address you signed up with and we will take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page. Meaningful changes will be announced by email to the waitlist.
